A very bluey week

The color blue has overpowered me this week.At first it was the blue baby set that got me glued to the sewing machine for hours .Typical of me if i start on a project there is no stopping till it is done. While cleaning up my stash...which is a never ending task but a good therapy for my heart and soul(you will think i am weird unless you are just another gila kain kind of a person)i found another hearthy blue..It is not just the blue that was calling on me but the touch of yellow and streak of green...I knew i had to team up this three fabric and make something happen..

Its a lovely sunny saturday while i am writing this post.,and my heart is singing..Looking forward for a happy joyous weekend....Have a fun week end you  alls..

My second teardrop bag using Amy Butler's pattern book

I love making this bag.The tutorial is so simple to follow and with some basic knowledge in bag making any sewer can complete this project in 2 hours, that is considering the machine does not encounter any technical problem along the way..Since my confidence level has been raised after the first time, i tried using verona velvet this time around I must say i like how it has turn out.

While i am at it i made the coin purse as well since the technique is the same

And here is the first one that i did and it has been taken...

I will try to find time making more of this beauties since the demand is overwhelming.

A new project

Bought this book many moons ago but never got around to seriously seat and tackle any of the easy tutorials. But a few days ago while folding and unfolding my ever expanding stash i stumble on this gorgeous material and i knew i had to create something out of it..While flipping through the pages i  could not resist looking at  this simple adorable spa pouch.I had to try making it..

I might have to change the black coloured drawstring to something more orangey..
