Saturday sewing in..

I spent the whole saturday morning cooking this bag. How else to spend a quiet morning in a clean house all to myself...After minding a baby for 5 days straight full time from 8.00 am to 7.30 pm..(read all bout this here)this quiet morning is most welcome..The sound of the sewing machine is like music to my ears hihihi..i don't really need a new bag,and this is definitely no body's order.I just felt i need to sew something small ,simple and done in a couple of hours....

12.5 inches wide.10.5 inches tall..6 xterior 
pockets 3 interior pocket with one wide zippered pocket magnetic snap button closure and 18 inch long for the handle...Fabric cotton from Elyza fully texguard and scotchguard...

A baby quilt set in "J'aime le ballet" fabric

Last sunday i manage to complete a baby diaper bag + baby quilt + a pillow cover as per order from Noor Asmaa...

Here are some fabric purchased this morning at Dchomel,Taman Melawati.

This trio is going be a baby quilt..white dots on purple,pink stripes and ballerina;;

Actually i made the baby bag to fit  a pillow and 2 bolsters.Somehow i felt something was missing and end up making the quilt as well...

After some feedback from my customers there were some requests for a smaller bag just to fit 2 bolsters and just 1 pillow...no blanket this time around...

The bag is quilted on the exterior and fully interfaced on the inside even  pockets with flaps and zip are fully lined with stiff material.The side pockets have magnetic snap button if the need arise to reduce the size of the bag to carry baby clothes and diapers instead of the pillows.There are six interior pockets and 4 outer pockets with flaps and one zippered pocket on the front.Material is light cotton from Dchomel ,Taman Melawati...

A month of silence..to day i break the ice....

My passion in bag making suddenly stood a standstill to give way to other more important priorities in my work station.But today i pushed aside all comforters,curtains and patchwork to get this beauty done...

Fabric are japanese cotton from Dchomel,Taman Melawati.Size of ready tote is 12 inch at the widest and 15 inch height..Quilted on the outside and full interfaced on the inside..with 2 interior pockets and a magnetic snap button closure...Price RM 65..

Another baby girl quilt....

This pink baby quilt is for baby of Imilia who is expecting her baby on the 15th October but i just got news that she has delivered on tuesday... thats about 3 days ago...Baby and mummy is doing well and i am happy to show off the pink baby quilt which was completed late this evening....

Butterflies on my pillows

It has been a while since my last post.So quiet in here and the deafness is getting too loud.But nevertheless i have been very productive for the last 4 weeks with overdose of curtain projects.Am not complaining with the extra work as the extra $$$ that rolled in is most welcome..

I am currently working on a huge bag to accomodate this butterfly baby set..

This little gathered side pocket takes just a smidge of fabric but it took me ages to get the right measurement  for the elastic and pleats .Am still not happy with how it turn out..

Rosy chic

I just love roses .....this one is definitely for me.Ever since i got acquainted with Lisa Lam's tutorial on how to attached zips into bags here,my bags are all sewn with zippers.Yay!practise makes perfect and of course not forgetting zip making also takes up more materials which also hikes up the price of the bag too...
